Analysis of I am Legion

I am Legion

Last I was Jabez
For I came through hell,
But now I am Vicky
Cause I came out strong.
I became Jenny
To escape Old Scratch
Who broke me, who shattered me,
So I got born again,
Again and again.
Now I am a woman being
But I can be a cutie thing.
Sometimes I am, it's guardian gel
Other times I am, just a monk.
Take me as I am,
Love me as you can,
For I came through hell, one
Of a kind.
Where they reduced my flesh
But never my soul.

About this poem

This poem was inspired by a lady featured in Australia's sixty minutes by the name of Jenny. She had a multiple personality disorder ( much more than 1000 personalities) as a result of the trauma she suffered as very young child in the hands of her father, who abused her consistently, raping her on daily basis.
