Analysis of All I see is smoke By Clayton catlett

clayton.catlett 1986 (Collinsville)

I Gave in and imbraced every hope within me. I let go of fear, dismantling every wall defending me. I put aside the urge to be what most pretend to be.
From the start I let you see who I was in actuality.

We were in twined we were in tangled
We were two twin flames. But now all I see is smoke!

It's like I imagine all my sorrows matched by all your empathy, the fulfilment and compatibility like combining sounds emerging within a symphony.  As I wake from the delusion and hear only silence.

I see you there of in the distance, I strive to get to you...just as I near you I reach towards you, only to see you fade away

It's like I'm underwater, I'm drowning I feel the liquid hit my lungs as I inhale and start to choke.

We were in twined and in tangled we were two twin flames but now all I see is smoke.

About this poem

This is a analgesic descriptive that sets its readers in my realm high hopes and blind optimism only to be answered by despair, tangents also form around the bravery of someone removing there defensive over thought and fabricated persona allowing a honest look into lives regardless of the outcome.
