Analysis of His Name is Jesus

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

The last tears will be bittersweet,
When shed upon the mercy seat.
The hearts of those now filled with joy,
Poured out before this little boy.

And from His mouth comes holy fire;
Destroying every single liar!
And those who now destroy the earth,
Will curse the day of their own birth!

And all of those who love to lie,
Were only born so they could die.
And not just once but twice you see;
In the fiery lake is where they’ll be!

But in the end, we’ll see our friends;
And hug and kiss on all of them!
And sing and dance and jump for joy!
Because we loved God’s little boy!
