Analysis of Homecoming Day

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

It’s good to see your face again,
I missed you every day.
It’s good to hear your voice again,
And the wonderful things you say.

It’s good to smell your scent again;
I missed that while we were apart.
Your wonderful love has captured me;
It’s captured all of my heart.

It’s glorious to feel your touch,
And also, your sweet embrace.
Oh God I’ve missed you oh so much,
It’s good to see your face.
