Analysis of BACK AGAINST THE WALL

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

One by one they will fall no I do not plan on causing anyone harm, yet they insist on twisting my arm. my back is against the wall, I feel as if I am a trapped circus animal inside of a cage, I am now becoming fueled with anger and hatred but that's not my vibe I refuse to show the rage that hides inside of my eyes.

I do not need any of this, I want my peace but they are forcing me to roll up and clench my fist. no longer do I care to fight for what is mine and for what I know is right. my back is against the wall there is no one behind me I am on my own and I refuse to back down so I will rise and stand tall.

At last, I am picking my battles falling to my knees to pray to the almighty Gods that I have all my weapons to win this million-year war and as I collect my scars I will wear them with honor as I get ready to dismantle their machine and live the so-called American dream as I scream deep inside what a fucking nightmare it is at times to use my voice I am not going to have my back against the wall any longer. for I now know that I have a choice
