Analysis of The modern man
Prabesh Sharma 1985 (Finland)
Breathless,
In a sea of meaninglessness;
You and I
Oh, How hard we try,
To defy gravity!
Carrying everywhere a head-full of experience in a suitcase,
We always try to find our place.
Always in a limbo
-between ‘knowing’ and doubt.
In this life
New graves we dig,
For old ambitions and dreams.
Ceaselessly we walk in other people’s shoes.
And for all the crosses we have to bear,
In far-flung ‘hope’ we look for solace
-Always trying to find our place.
