Analysis of The Sibling Shapeshifters

The world likes - to my eyes -
Forcing us in a small box.
'Til we die, we will pry,
And may yet bust the locks.

The sibling shapeshifters -
Your wickedness matches mine.
Think me not a grifter;
Us two are of one mind.

We're cajoled to take shape,
Lest outcasts of us they’ll make.
You aid me to escape
That foul, constricting cage.

For us fellow freakshows,
Transparency is freedom.
To hide, I can see no
Defensible reason.

Us royalty high-born
Love to share dark confessions.
We can occupy forms,
But we can't possess them.
