Analysis of Love Listens

Love sits alone, listening to the cries of those
Who are wishing for love to be heard,
For love to be known in one's heart
For love to live one's life by.
Love hears the cries of those suffering
Love hears the lies and tries buffering
The impact of lost love
Is a sad fact of many people's lives.
"You are not alone" love says.
Wishing love was the default,
Instead of a vicious verbal assault,
Love says "This isn't your fault."
Compassion integrity missing
Except with love , people listen.
Love will embrace and hold.
Love will not leave us all cold.
Love listens to your heart.
Love will not tear you apart.
Close is how love will hold.
Love searches out the bold.
We must fight for the right
To love in a world
Where grace is just a word,
And love is not always a pretty sight.

About this poem
I frequently write poetry about love. It has been the topic of many of my poems over the years. I was orphaned at a very young age, and writing about love seems to compensate for the loss of my loved ones. My parents were in a disabling car accident when I was just 1 & I was raised by cruel strangers, causing me to engage in a life -long search for the meaning of love.
