Analysis of Blue Line

Amanda East 1976 (Ogden)

Follow the blue line.
It is the only way I find home,
Rabbit white on time.

I lost my doggie once, and his bone.
Howie cried all night.
No clue, or ringer; the line went dead.

Searching with a light
I found my Howie with nice Miss Fred,
Playing catch the ball.

I charged my iPad and ate my chips.
Pippy cat is small.
Miss Fred coaxed Pippy with high green nip.

Now dog and kitty are gone from me.
Sulking on the couch,
A void turned everything to a dark eve.

Sitting up, I slouched,
I thought to follow the blue line through,
Surely I have doubts.

Home is where Happy thoughts are with you.
Thinking, what’s the line?
Look here, a shiny long white bone!

Follow the blue line?
Miss Fred kissed Mr. Fred right on time.
Mapping on the phone

Follow the blue line.
It is the only way I find home,
Rabbit white on time.

About this poem

A silly story inspired by the thought that my partner can’t make it home unless he has his GPS on. Ha! So, I made my own pattern, but I am not sure if I stuck to it all the way through. You tell me.
