Analysis of Twinkle

I asked,
"Shall we continue to live in darkness,
Hoping for a light that might never come?"
"Why hope for something you already are?
Oh twinkle,
Aren't you a star?"
It whispered.

I asked,
"Shall we continue to dance,
To a song that isn't ours?"
"Oh, give happiness a chance,
For it became ours,
The moment we began to dance"
It whispered.
