Analysis of Relationship With The One Unseen
Stephen Abeiku Bedi 2003 (Tema)
His eyes, those eyes, eyes filled with love,
Equipped with a lens, a special lens, one of mercy,
Yet to us he is oblivious of everything,
So much so that we think he doesn't exist,
Or perhaps does not care.
His eyes, yes those eyes read our thoughts like a book,
Only for his heart to be pricked by a million needles,
Yet still what he is seated on reminds him, it reinforces the lens he sees through,
It's a throne like no other the throne of mercy.
Man prays to he who is seated upon that throne yes the throne of mercy,
Only to wake up to reality or perhaps into fiction,
Yes into fiction, for there is no reality without He,
The desperate voice of man cries out,
Until the last prayer is sounded.
One not fuelled by desperation,
But one that holds the very embers of whatever faith a man holds,
Yet still there's no answer just silence and great nothingness,
Ones faith can only carry him thus far,
Yet the Word keeps speaking of people who hit this very point,
And still prevailed, people who's patience was as deep as the ocean.
But to many, that kind of patience seems unreal or perhaps even fatal ,
But in all this let us remind ourselves of who it is we look to,
His heart can never look at us and chose to ignore,
It just takes time, time for his massive plans for us to unfold,
If only hope does not fade out. Yes if only.

About this poem
A poem about the relationship God and desperate belivers find themselves in were as to one all the other requires is patience faith and hope but to the other the time is nigh and the omnipotent God doesn't seem to be watching or listening for if he's surely watching and listening he'd have answered
