Analysis of Bait.
I lent a deaf ear
To the moans and screams of the wounded
Walked blindly with no fear
Between rows of bloody bodies
And if you were here
I'd wear a forced expression of happiness
And blame joy for the threatening tear
If you were near
I'd dance in the midst of my destruction
And glance in the mirror with a love so falsely dear
I'd march on and on, never breaking stride
And when I cry, I'll make sure you never hear
Just so I can say I bruised your ego and pride
Just so I can create a maze of my own in which you'll never hide
But you're not present
And you sent noone on your behalf
My morals are twisted and bent
I stand alone after ordering the death of my staff
I broke character too wickedly and too soon
Sick for the love you fed me by spoon
Ill for the lips that said "forever"
And broke their word on a sexual endeavour
Yearning for the hands
That touched me and others
Remembering the plans
That were truthful to me and lies to your brothers
I refuse to be broken, so I smile
I refuse to let the damage I've caused go to waste. I declare it worth the while
I dare not acknowledge my heart breaking, so in ignorance I wait
These bodies on bodies are my bait
