Analysis of A Lonely Grave
Soumia BENREKIA 1997 (Blida)
Roses wilted and rottened.
Deadly silence broken by heavy rains.
A lonely grave in the graveyard,
Waited for a rose.
Winds blowed, and skies changed.,
From blue to grey,
It rained and snowed.
A lonely grave in the graveyard
Waited for an old friend to come.
Hollow sounds,
Frosty breeze.
Every breath,
A glimpse of distant hope.
Perhaps, the time has come,
For an old friend to visit,
For a warm hand to fondle the soil.
Perhaps, they'd leave a rose.
A lonely grave in the graveyard,
waited.
But no more.

About this poem
A melancholic poem about an abandoned grave waiting for a visitor. I wrote this one when I was grieving the death of a close one.
