Analysis of As Deep Calls Out to Deep

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Come along My son its time to go now
And leave the fields the oxen would plow
To go to the place where you belong
You must be courageous and you must be strong
Strong in the faith that I have given to you
Courageous in the things that you must do
How many times I’ve wished they’d heard
And come to live here in My Word

But now the end is coming fast
I know that many will not last
Still I will save the chosen few
And do to them as I’ve done to you
Their joy will not last for a day
No, it will never go away
How many times I’ve wished they’d heard
And come to live here in My Word
