Analysis of Unwanted friend
I come to make you company,
in the time of night,
there is no reason,
in trying to avoid me or fight,
from effects of my presence,
you are not saved by light.
I wear you down,
but not in a pleasant way.
I cast shadow on your town
even on the brightest day.
I will steal your crown
and still make you pay.
Where precious colors used to be,
now it's only gray.
The joy of running free,
seems quite far away.
What made you come to me?
That's they always say.
Since we are so close,
I'll give you advice,
Look at what you chose,
and what's inside.
Only truth, no lies!
Is it the way you live your life,
your obsessions, unachieved ambitions,
or for what you strive?
Are your rituals just dull traditions,
or do they help you thrive?
What are the things that make you itch?
and for which of those,
you wouldn't move an inch,
and can't wait to finally ditch?
In the darkest hour,
cast the light inside,
find what's rotten or broken,
and give everything to make it right.
Because if not, then,
I will see you tonight.
With love,
your Insomnia
