Analysis of The Hug

I felt safe in your embrace
Your arms, my happy place
A feeling of home soo strong
How did it all go wrong

Was it true love and trust
That's why it hurts soo much
Or was it just a yearning
That set our hearts burning

The warmth in your hug
Like a hot chocolate mug
Our heartbeats aligning
Like we were intertwining

Was it really that sweet
It felt like a treat
Or was I just holding on
Listening to your siren song

For time and distance
Won't change this resistance
To let the memory fade
Of the loving hugs that you gave
