Analysis of Beware The Blight

I'm slack
The rope towards you is taut

And I'm overwrought
Inanely pensive
The dives through my self
Are deprivations of depth
I can no longer sought within the greater breath; my liberation.

I scour; wading through blurs
And I can no longer find a word
The keys of courage to sweep the fog

I phase along days by flashing faces
Each seep through the bank of memories
Each, callous through my nerves.

I phase along days by a flash of faces
Some bear a face I long to love
A reminder I'm not doing enough.

You strum & pluck through your scars
The song you've paved offers no way
While your wheels are spun in suspense
Dreams you dissuade, reward no recompense
The soul hungers, while you stifle
Through pretense, an ideologue
Who's rubber hasn't met the road
Son, all the world begs is that you be bold
Can you suck it up beyond doing what you're told?

But eventually you must account
The pride your hunger had endowed upon your youth.

While you're righteously fanged
To stake your claim
All the worth you'd heap upon your name
Hopefully once the zenith's peaked
That you haven't waged too much of your soul
That there's no joy you can't taste
Or that greed doesn't consume your sight
That your success can only blight.

About this poem

More or less the idea of not losing yourself to your desires, should you reach them.
