Analysis of Why is the sky so blue?

The sky is blue today
A happy color
The sky seems to have been a happy color
Ever since you left

How can that be?
Is it you that’s making the sky a
Happy blue

Is it the color of your eyes watching over me?
How is it that I
Don’t remember the color of your eyes?

The sky is blue today
Unlike the gray inside of me
The storm that should be filling the sky
Has been sucked up by my heart instead

How can that be?
Is this hurricane inside of me
All of the rain in the world?

There is something comforting
In the fact that this
Is all of the sorrow in the world

The sky is blue today
Like it was every time we met for lunch
Like it should have been
Next time we were to meet

How can that be?
We had plans to meet
Death is deleting events from my calendar

The sky is blue today
How can that be?

It is a sign
A message that you are happy
And that heaven is happy
To have you back in its arms
