Analysis of To Adam

We were awful sad to hear
  You’ve found another home
But at the same time – we’re glad
You’ll soon have parents of your own

You’ll have a mama and daddy
To tuck you in each night
And when you have a little hurt
Their love will make it right

Oh yes – all of us will miss you
You’ve brightened up our lives a while
We saw you grow from an infant
  To an active little child

We’re sending you our wishes
We’ve shared your joy and tears
May God be with you always
  Throughout the coming years
