Analysis of That Empty Space
How many pills will it take to replace
That once peaceful look, on your face.
And how many drinks will fill up that
Empty space, in your soul
All those magic potions, do little to disguise
That haunted look in your once, brilliant eyes
And all your lovers whispered devotions
Don't reach that empty space, in your soul
How many gods have promised to erase
A past full of loss and despair
Keep looking for your perfect god
I know it exists, out there, somewhere
And when you find what's true, to you
I'll see it shining from your face
An overflow of the peace and joy
Finally filling your empty space.
