Analysis of My Bruised Golden Lambert
Akojenu Joseph Owolayo 1960 (Lagos)
My lamb was my cherriched
Always by my side from kid
I possessed her with the mothersheep
Her tender easygoing was
My admiration and delight
Unaware of wolf-den close by
Unknown that wolves lures close
A wolves the lamb unaware of
O! how I wished the lamb knew
But as a lamb so foolish
Walked into the den unplanned
The golden lamb was bruised
Hurt and wounded so badly
The all ages injury that will
Never and cannot be heal
O! my golden lamb!
As the mother lamb bruised
So bruised thou ,Oh
My golden lamb
How I wish to have you whole
