Analysis of Take the chance!
Why do I know your warmth, though I've never laid in your arms?
Why have I memorised your laughter though I've never heard you speak?
But I have heard you laugh, and I have felt your touch.
"There you are!" She exclaimed, as she pulled me into an embrace.
A warmth I know very well,
A voice I have felt.
"Let's go! Follow me!" She says as she tugs at my heart.
I follow her into a deep forest,
Wading through thorns and thistles.
They cut and poke and prod my soul,
But I follow her nonetheless.
We enter a clearing and speechless do I see.
A mountain range sitting before me.
And with a gesture I could never forget.
Do I feel the touch of a gentle peck.
"I have to go now, I love you!" She says,
As I lurch to grab her hand.
But suddenly I find the morning rays.
As she disappears from my sight like falling sand.
Her embrace replaced with a morning frost,
And her laughter with silence.
"How could I go on without you!" I exclaim.
"In a dream did I make myself known" I heard a beautiful voice say
"It's up to you to find me on your own."
"I'm waiting for you my love, one day Shall we never part."

About this poem
I was going for a "True love will find you in the end" approach. Because I adore that song by Daniel Johnston. I feel that the only hope we have in life, is to give every opportunity a chance. I want to do things and say things that matter. But sometimes just overcoming what you fear most can have the biggest impact on your life. Talk to the people you want to talk to! And if you screw up then screw up and learn from it!.. anyway I hope you liked the poem. Have an awesome day!
