Analysis of the hurt ain't healing

Dwaine Gaulke 1981 (tacoma wa)

it hurts me a lot, like a gunshot.
your hurts hurt me, that's empathy.
the pain i feel, is very real.
my burden to bear, seems so unfair.
my heart is torn, my body worn
i wished it weren't so
i prayed it would go
this lonely feeling, cause the hurt ain't healing
