Analysis of Loveless nights
Stephanie C Elsner 1985 (San Antonio)
Once again you've broken my heart
Sent me love in form of a wolf
Promised the stars that weren't his to promise.
Promised forever but really meant a moment
The wolf gave me hope that love was real
Only to remind me it's just an illusion
Dull sky Grey eyes, brilliant smile
Holding back lies and evil plans
My goddess, my moon...
Why would you send me such a foul soul
To make me swoon just to fall?
This is the last time I let you shine
Shine on my heart
For this broken heart has shattered too many times
I can't place those shattered pieces back together
Perhaps that's what my soul was needing...
To lead with spiritual light and no longer
My blind love
Guess you've cured me of that plague.
I can now be the spiritual being and shine as bright as you
So these wolves can follow me but no longer misguide me
For now they long for my pale light to shine on them
And they'll howl with pain for me to forgive them
But my heart is as black as the night they run wild in.

About this poem
When the moon sends you a lover you've been manifesting only to be broken again. Realize it's helped evolve into a more spiritual person. Learned more about yourself and limits. Rise above the pain & hurt and shine with self love.
