Analysis of Before it’s too Late
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
Bend over you can kiss the ground
This might be your last chance
The world you know has been destroyed
Its pleasures not enhanced
You thought that as you climbed the ladder
You’d get to the top
But found as you got higher
All the rungs there had been chopped
They fell in little pieces
To the earth where they would stay
And now you see your climbing
Was what led you all astray
So, come back now and worship God
And leave the past behind
Its only in the Prince of Peace
Your pleasures you will find
Come and follow Jesus before its too late!
