Analysis of Ukraine’s Daughter
Bombs burn through the sky;
Another tear falls from her eye;
Men in places far away
Place her in harm’s way.
Reasons unclear and rough
Aim to take, but it’s never enough.
Hidden agendas packed with lies
Dispatch jets that litter skies.
Tanks rolling through the night
Bring form to her deepest fright.
She waits now in her battered room
Her world shrouded in gloom.
Her fragility is at its peak
Is this what they seek?
To take away what once was pure
For benefit that may not inure
To a child they brought to life
Who may witness the same endless strife…
