Analysis of God Given Tasks
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
What gain has man from his toil,
What profit comes from his labor;
Before they are used, they spoil,
Without sharing with his neighbor.
I have seen what God has given,
To the sons and daughters of man;
Blessings that flow down from Heaven,
That the Lord has within His plan.
He made beautiful in its time,
Eternity into your heart;
Attempting to block out the crime,
That darkness trying to impart.
We never find what God has done,
From the beginning to the end;
Having salvation to be won,
Because we usually offend.
I think there is nothing better,
To do good as long as we live;
Being joyful to the letter,
With confession, He will forgive.
So eat and drink to take pleasure,
All labor is a gift of God;
Accomplishments you can treasure,
In giving Him honor and laud.
I know whatever God has done,
He did to endure forever;
As your revering has begun,
Through all that you will endeavor.
That which has been and is now,
And everything, as to, shall be;
God does seek the past to endow,
Revealing as to what we see.
