Analysis of The Value of a Woman

Lanita Ranaye 1958 (United States)

The Value of a woman should not be
determined by the curve of her hips
the color of her hair
the fullness of her lips
or her fashion flair
not because of the cars she drives
or the job she holds
where she reside or who she knows...

The Value of a Woman should be determined
by the depth of her heart
how she lives her life,
how she raises her child
by the loves she shows even
when her heart is breaking
when she puts family first
although her mind, body and spirit are aching

The True Value of a Woman
is how her heart swells with pride
at the end of the day
when she looks at the faces of her sleeping family
and lays her soul down to rest
saying goodnight to God and family
content that she's done her very best!
