Analysis of My Lost Love

My Lost Love- Soft and Gentle as a Dove.

She flew into my life hoping to be my wife.

Than one-day gone- flown away like an angle from above.

Most days I think maybe this was a dream.

I can’t forget her skin so soft her smile so bright.

But deep inside her fear was her light. This is what led to fight.

I truly thought we had it all.

I never thought our love would fall.

Into the parallels of depth where no one is safe from the demanding tides.

The wonderful times we spent, the special moments we shared.

I only think now, she really never cared.

For two people in love so strong and so deep.

Our love I thought was meant to keep.

I can only feel the way I feel.

But I will never think our love was not real.

Remembering now the sincere love I gave, the way I felt so strong and so brave.

She gave meaning to my life.

I really wanted her to be my wife.

But all I gave was never enough; she lost in the end her edges to rough.

Cupid’s arrow had hit me hard.

Deep in my heart the sword is stuck.

I am afraid the cuts are so very deep.

Sometimes I still can’t even sleep.

To forget the pain, I am not so vain.

So I go on with life comparing others to her and not able to see the light.

The light that once shinned is flickering low.
I know now I must let her go.

It is so hard for one to forget these things when happiness no longer rings.

I wish the hands of time could go back- to put us on that special track.

The road of love is long, for she was not so strong.

She is in my thoughts almost everyday.

I wish she was back for this I pray.

The truth is, she is gone forever and she’ll never know what could have been.

She rushes through life& she will never win.

The loss of happiness is so sad.

But the time in love we spent, for this I ‘am glad.
