Analysis of Life's Proverbs
A bird in the hand
Is worth more than two in the bush,
What you see
Is what you get.
Puppy love is
Holding hands and a kiss or two,
But to have and hold
Till death do us part.
Age before beauty they say
It's what is inside you that counts,
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
If she is cute, forget the fruit.
Baby, youth, middle age, or all used up,
Who is the fairest of them all ?
Hand made wrinkles on the face
Declare it - I have lived to tell the tale.
We come from mother and dad,
Sister, brothers are the best of friendships,
It's the love that binds
For a lifetime of memories.
Blood is thicker than water
Through thick and thin,
Family bonds are hand made
And always there for you.
The school of hard knocks
Is who I am,
Jack of all trades
And master of none.
The last frontier
Old age, pain and loneliness,
To conquer all three
Who can do it ?
It's better to give than receive,
It is a gift called a present,
Just give a child a brand new ball
A smile or laugh he gives back.
A rolling stone gathers no moss,
The cobwebs of life will slow it down,
Home is where the heart is
Beyond the stars and through Heaven's gate.
