Analysis of Wonder

Images of deep space cloud the black behind my eyelids
the thinnest barrier between I and you
Stars and satellites move
planets in orbit circulating around the room
A shift in the universe
New world given birth
A deep plane of creation
perfect and planned
random and chaotic in chance
Lights dance
and limitless space aches for discovery
The weight of your hands invented
intended
to fall perfectly against the surface of my skin
the warmth of my chest
the flesh of my cheek
Gravity given purpose
Cosmic in connection
I and you
A moment standing at the feet of infinity
Infinity
staring at the face of a moment
blind to any other
Wrapped up
entwined in each other
And I am left in wonder
