Analysis of Now Has Never Been Forever Meant

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Now has never been forever meant.
With it to give exempted permission,
To everything we intend but not done...
Takes place in the now.
For everyone.
Whether to contemplate or hesitate.
Even to procrastinate.
In a sitting to reminisce,
The 'ifs' and 'buts'.
As if to convince ourselves,
Of a now the has gone continues on.
What a doing of that we know to do better,
Than anything else.
To take for granted to ignore and dismiss.
Like the tick to hear a tocking of a clock.
Heard.
Although the clock may stay to collect dust.
Time is on the move away from all of us.

Yet that now as is to witness and observe,
Serves up only time.
With not a second of it canned to preserve
A past to have had a 'now' to repeat...
The taste and smell of it sniffed or to treat.

Since,
It is in the now to experience it.
Not yesterday, tomorrow.
In a now to come to go no longer to exist.
And never before forever meant...
Kept to keep.
Although may be missed...
When that now comes to go to leave.
Declaring our 'ifs' with wishes to drift away!
Unfulfilling to satisfy,
That desire leftover but has spoiled to decay!
