Analysis of Overrun

I'm curious to what I miss
When I turn my back
And wade through crowd...
But not enough to join your little school dance
Of Masquerade,
Champagne
And spit,
Upon those you hate.
I only steal glimpses of what you really do.
The pain you inflict,
To feed the magic starved pit
Of the grave you have dug.
Throw an elbow,
Take one to the nose,
Feel fury rise,
Let wrath be inflicted.
When it is done
To come back to yourself
And find yourself changed.
To adapt
And live among the cannibal, those thirsty for blood.
I pretend.
It is only enough to be a tiny blip on the radar
But that is enough
To escape the ranks.
You were not so fortunate.
But, you wanted this.
In a convoluted, twisted way...
You created this.
The Monster has become the Master.
The pit, a black whole.
The sun will rise, and with it, comes the dark.
Still.
Be quiet.
Let this moment be enough.
