Analysis of The Shelter Stove

It came equipped with a built-in fan and overhead light
Majestic in chrome and blacked out in its mite

Chrome plated and child proofed to boot
This was no average stove
It was the kind that showed proof

They say a shelter is no place to call home
It is merely for the broken and those from shattered real homes

I scoffed in jest cause better I knew
The broken fix the broken as a cooked a fresh sauce

The Devil of life may have put us here
Rally this though God is boss

She could broil and bake and even ignite
Even sometimes a ceiling would alight
Many people took turns on her so-called knobs of shame

All colors creeds religions all fed from her stain

As I stood making sauce and cried my sorrow of a stew
God showed me the broken are more than just a few

We need not much in the actual way of life
Even if you've come in broken as a Husband or a Wife

Simplicity was the irony of the Frigidare
A Happy full Belly kept you aware

The pains of hunger far out cry the shame
So as we  partake in her flames of our meal

Though we be badly broken
We found a Happy Belly safely together here
