Analysis of The One

Maxie 1984 (Rizal)

You are the my heart adore
From the very minute you walked in that door;
You are the one my heart desire,
I'm totally consumed by your fire.

Feeling this way is not a mistake
For it is something I cannot even try to fake;
Loving you is all-consuming,
My heart is totally yours for the taking.

My love, for me, you are the best,
You are 'the' one; my only dearest;
You always give me the sweetest kisses
The most amazing smiles; the warmest embraces.

My love for you will burn eternally
Even after someone took you away from me;
I hope you come back, this I implore,
For I have never felt this way before.

Maxie

Mom of 3. Poetry is my first love and have written a lot back when I was in high school... and then, life happens. Ideas and rhymes dried up. But the other day I was going through old stuff and found my collections of poems that I've written back in the day. Hoping to share an immortalize them especially for my kids. So that they'll know mommy was really cool once :D more…
