Analysis of THE WAR CHILD
What do you know about sympathy
Or indeed the grind of empathy?
What do you know about starvation
In the bowels of your relation?
What do you know about the sounds
Of guns as they offload rounds?
What do you know about despair
When there is no one to repair?
I know because I am a child in a war zone
And I am bruised all alone .
