Analysis of Thank You Lord
Thank you, dear Lord
For waking me this morn’
Another day to be thankful
For the trials you born
You took on the mantle
Of my sins against you
Before I was birthed
Before I had a clue
To see you in Heaven
I pray each day
Dear Lord please don’t let me
Be lead too far astray
My soul, dear Lord
I've given to you
Surprised that you’d want it
It’s ragged and bruised
Please help me, my Lord
As I straddle that fence
Give me the courage
To tell Satan “GET THE HENCE!”
