Analysis of love pain

Despite knowing that we can’t be together, the heart wants it.
The dark silence between us keeps going, flickering a hope deep inside
Why, do I harm myself by knowing the impossible, because it makes me happy.
That is the absolute effect you have on me; I am drowning in your ocean.
You won’t ever know the pain I went through, for I am always your well-wisher.

Smallest of your gesture, makes my day.
I wonder at times why do I do this,

And I get an answer, that’s because this is what Love is.
