Analysis of On This Day
Catina Sherman 1975 (Florida)
On this day I was born a brand new baby child,
In this world of newfound things and all things running wild.
On this day I was born into a strange new place,
So much for me to learn, new style, life and race.
I have but naught a worry I have a shield of love,
Not only from my family but my maker up above.
He teaches as I grow and shows me right from wrong,
When I need him most he helps me to stay strong.
He has showed me a place of peace and taught me freedoms worth
So on this day that I was born I became the earth.
