Analysis of The Death Of Me
Larry Wells Jr 2003 (Nevada)
Love will be the death of me
And that is how it should be
All of my years have been spent to no avail
Hoping love would prevail
Many have come, many have gone
But it's still you that's on my mind come the dawn
And everything changes
While the war still wages
I could drown in all the tears I've cried for you
Sometimes I hope I do
I might well choke on the loose tongue that I bite
Seeing I've lost my light
They say that time will heal
Still I don't know if I'll ever learn to deal
This perverse infatuation will end me
A grotesque love that is not how it should be
