Analysis of Why Me

i wrote this back in 2012

With hands in hands we walked along,

Together singing that beautiful song

Which described life, described us

Described our relation but alas,

We couldn’t get together, couldn’t get along

Though we had known each other for a period too long

My fault it was, she exclaimed,

I was the one, who was to be blamed,

Why not her, why always me

What did I lack, what couldn’t she see?

But the doubts created, the change in behavior

Lost a friend, whom I thought was mine forever

Those lonely nights, those empty days
Those Saturday nights, oh man what can I say

You literally tore me apart,

Breaking me in to a million pieces,

Why didn’t I judge you before?

Like a man with million faces

What could I have said, what could I have done,

Why did I lose, when I thought I had won?
