Meu Deus pai, tu és a luz dos olhos vivos
as cores do pôr-do-sol de uma praia
o melhor de tudo que é novo e antigo
o amor de cada irmão, da mãe e do pai.

És o meu fiel e companheiro amigo
quem mais do que ninguém me ensina a paz.
És carinhoso como um pai adotivo
que erguerá seu filho onde quer que caia.

Faço estes versos para teus ouvidos
meu Deus, todo poderoso de amor
para dizer-te que sou agradecido.

Aos quatro cantos do mundo co'ardor
manifesto tudo o que têm sofrido
para unir-nos em tua graça, Senhor.
