Analysis of Hard to Love

That summer night, stars shining bright
We took to the night, two kids young and wild.
Friends turning into more
Love pouring into our souls
Sharing secrets, finishing sentences
One day just thrown away
You just up and left
No warning in sight
Breaking my heart as you walked away
Leaving my dreams behind
Making me feel as though I screwed up
Was I ever worth loving?
Am I hard to love?
I give all, yet get nothing in return
My wall is up
It will guard my heart from ever being hurt again.
