Analysis of My Heart
Take this tattered heart
And hold it steady now.
Take it away from me.
Lock it tight inside a room
I cannot reach.
It's my heart, you see.
The rhythm it beats is
Quite unknown to me.
My heart;
It's become a fragile little thing.
I took too many steps
And now it's been nothing
But an uncharted destination.
Have you locked this heart away?
I can still feel it close to me.
Too close it seems.
Did you put it back?
The rhythm is pulsing in my ear.
Louder and louder.
Did it skip just now?
Take this stupid heart of mine.
Rip it out of its seams,
For I no longer care.
Take it away from me.
My heart,
Did you dispose of it?
Give it back to me,
I cannot breathe....
