Analysis of Laying There With You

It started out like any other story.
Laying there with you,
It felt so real;
Yet the reality is different now.
I want to reminisce,
I want to hold you in my arms,
The way I used to.
Kiss you the same as I always did.
But years have gone by,
And that's just it.
Laying there with you,
Watching Toy Story 2.
A cup of coffee at midnight;
Wrapped up in a blanket mid-afternoon.
Those were the moments
Burned into my memory.
Did you know all along?
I am forced to never forget.
It started out with you,
Whispering in my ear.
Bitter sweet nothings.
"I love you" goes a long way.
But you knew that too.
Laying there with you,
I had a right to be happy,
But that was ripped away from me.
Laying there with you,
Promising a forever ending;
Yet this is the end.
Laying there with you,
Was someone new....
