Analysis of I'm falling for a spider lily
A spider lily kisses my lips,
perfume so sickly,
impossible to resist.
"Temptation is the devil" I cry,
& throw it off the ledge.
The petals call out my name,
they know I yearn for them.
Overcome by subservience,
I feel compelled to obey,
the orders of the flower that sways.
I'm falling for a spider lily.
It's illogical to obey.
There's no reason to be servile.
Forgoing my task is fulfilling,
yet servitude feels divine.
I reach out a hand to grasp its beauty,
the allure life will never match.
I've fallen for a spider lily.
