Analysis of Love came to earth

Royston 1946 (Reading)

Love  was difficult to find in the world of men,
for the Roman armies occupied Israel then.
But heavens glorious light had come to the earth,
as choirs of angels announced the Saviours birth.

The almighty God condensed Himself to a span.
and He set in motion His great salvation plan.
He wrapped all of His glory in a human frame
and was born in a stable to bear all our shame.

The very Godhead clothed Himself in human clay.
and lay cradled in Bethlehem’s manger that day.
Very few people beheld that amazing sight
that the angels had announced upon that advent night.

Come and pause for a while to contemplate with me,
and celebrate the wonder of Christ’s nativity.
God came to earth on that very first Christmas day.
a shining light from heaven to show us the way.
