Analysis of Dream Long Gone
They're like a dream
As beautiful as dawn
You want to stay forever
And never wake up
Their voice is silk
That softly caresses you
It gives you strength
To stand up to the world
It gives you hope
That happiness exists
But then you awake
And find out it's fake
You look all around
But they're nowhere to be found
You strain to hear
Hoping they're near
You keep asking where
You keep reaching out
And just grab air
Because they don't exist
They were once here
But have gone extinct
A good woman
To give your heart
And trust with your life
To grow old together
And become one
A reality that became myth
A myth that became legend
A dream that once was
Too good to be true
But is no more
