Analysis of Are You Really OK?

Ask me how I'm doin', I say "okay"
Yeah, but ain't that what we all say?
Living life with a smile on our faces,
But in reality, some of us are dying.
Forgive me, but please see the truth.
I’ve been through it myself…
And it’s hard to ask for help with it.
Depression? Off the charts.
Hurting rapidly because of an event?
Definitely an issue of mine.
Personally, everyone deserves a chance.
A chance of redemption to change,
Fix themselves and restart.
We are living in a generation…
Where the majority of us know,
We do hide our pain and suffering,
But no one acts upon it to help.
So ask someone how they are doing,
But pay attention to how they say,
“I’m okay,” because that’s what we all say.
