Analysis of Judgment and Redemption
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Justice has been turned back,
Righteousness far away;
Because the truth does lack,
So many gone astray.
For the truth has stumbled
Uprightness has dropped out;
The people have grumbled,
Having many a doubt.
Since the truth is lacking,
Evil has made them prey;
Displeased for the slacking,
The Lord has seen them stray.
He sees there was no man,
No one to intercede;
Salvation for their plan,
Righteousness for their need.
For a righteous breastplate,
Helmet of salvation;
To seal a righteous fate,
For holy ambition.
The garments of vengeance,
Wrapped in zeal as a cloak;
God brings an emergence,
A judgment to evoke.
According to their deeds,
A vengeance to repay;
For growing evil seeds,
From what they disobey.
So they shall fear the name,
Of the Lord from the west;
As glory does proclaim,
That He drives in its quest.
The rising of the sun,
Comes like a rushing stream;
Through what the Lord has done,
From light of a sun beam.
Turn from the transgression,
His Spirit upon you;
While your confession,
To be faithful and true.
